Meet Elizabeth

I grew up in Ft. Worth, TX, but I've called Washington, DC home since 2001--still dreaming of Texas BBQ and Whataburger.

I started Go Stitch after a dear college friend introduced me to needlepoint. She loved needle minders so much she collected them like trading cards. That inspired me to start creating my own—unique, fun pieces she couldn’t find anywhere else.

Creativity runs in the family. My mother was not only a musician and opera singer, but also a jewelry designer and enamel artist who taught me how to work with metal and a kiln. My father was an engineer. Those two influences—art and precision—shaped the way I think, design, and create. They continue to inspire every Go Stitch piece.

Before starting this business, I spent nearly 20 years as a journalist, covering everything from the White House and Capitol Hill to hurricanes and consumer news. It was fast-paced, high-impact work—and I loved it. But my heart always held space for creating.

Now, I get to pour that same energy into something joyful and personal. What began as a love of design has grown into a business and a connection to an incredible community— an experience I deeply treasure.
